Certificates / Assessment
Certificates are only given once students have demonstrated that they have absorbed the information presented during the workshop and have given a satisfactory treatment observed by the tutor. To ensure we act responsibly and carry out good practice, should the tutor feel that you would benefit from further training, certification could be held back. You will be given the opportunity to attend the next available course that has a space, which is offered free of charge. This is rare, but as a responsible course provider, we have to have high standards in place. Our tutors are there to help. With small classes it is easy to absorb the techniques you are taught. There will be a practical assessment at the end of the course to ensure high quality standards.
It does not matter which venue you choose to attend as all tutors teach the same courses and offer the same content. Each student will receive an excellent full manual, which covers the course material and all aspects you have learnt on the day. This makes it easy for you to remember the routine without having to make notes during the day – allowing you to focus and learn a wonderful new therapy.
What are CPD points?
A certain amount of CPD points (Continuing Professional Development) are requested by various associations to ensure that members are up to date with various therapies and its latest trends. The Indian Head Massage, Natural Facelift Massage and Acupressure Chair Massage courses have been awarded 12 CPD points each. The Hopi Ear Candling course has been awarded 5 CPD points, Hot Stone Reflexology 12 CPD points and our Reflexology course 60 CPD points.
How do I pay the deposit?
We offer many ways to do this. You can pay online over our website, give us a call or transfer the payment directly into our account.
When do I have to pay the balance of the course?
Once you have paid your deposit, the remaining course fee is required 3 weeks before the course is due to start. The deposit is taken off the course fee. For last minute bookings you can pay the full course fee on the day in cash if agreed with your tutor.
Can I practice abroad and be insured with this qualification?
You can practise these therapies abroad. The insurance company we recommend will cover you for up to 3 months whilst abroad, giving you plenty of time to find a local insurance company from the country you settle in.
How much is the insurance for a therapist?
This varies but works out at about £80-120 a year, depending which therapy you train in. Full details are given to you on the training workshops. If you are a therapist already and have insurance you usually will be able to add your new skill to your existing insurance cover. It is advisable to check with your insurance company if they accept our training courses prior to booking on to our courses.
You will be insured by us during the workshop but need to obtain your own insurance before you practise on the general public.
