Is this course accredited?
The course is fully accredited by the Guild of Professional Beauty Therapists for membership and insurance.
Is the course accredited for Continuing Professional Development – CPD?
Yes. The course is accredited for Continuing Professional Development by the Guild of Professional Beauty Therapists. This course has been awarded 5 CPD points.
How do I enrol on the course?
You enrol on the course either through the www.refocus-workshop.com website or by calling Refocus on 01273 424973. The course fee is £39.00 + VAT = £46.80.
How soon after enrolling can I start the course?
Once you have enrolled on the course and paid the course fee, you will receive an email with an activation code to give you access to the online course modules which means you can start learning straight away.
How long will it take me to complete the course?
The time it takes to complete the course will depend on how quickly you learn as an individual, and also on the number of hours per day you spend on it.
Is there a time limit for completing the course?
What support is available to me whilst doing the course?
All GTi courses have access to integrated email support from fully qualified therapists and tutors.
What if I am dyslexic?
Each course module includes an audio soundtrack of the course material which is ideal for students who are dyslexic.
Do I need anything special on my computer?
You will need to have a modern web browser and speakers or headphones. Please note that the GTi course modules do not currently run on some mobile devices such as iPhones and iPads and are not compatible with Google Chrome browsers.
How will the course be marked?
Following each course module you will take an online examination which requires a pass rate of 70%.
Am I allowed to refer to text books or notes during the examination?
No. You are expected to complete online tests under exam conditions without referring to any notes, text books or online help.
What if I fail a module?
If you fail a module you have the ability to re-take the examination twice. If you fail the module you will be contacted by the tutor who will offer support before making a final attempt.
Do I need to complete any paperwork?
No. All examinations are completed online and a record of your marks are displayed in your login area.
What will I receive when I complete the course?
All students will automatically receive an electronic certificate as a pdf which they will be able to download and print off by logging into their accounts on Beautyguild.com. Students will be able to order printed certificate from the Guild for £15 + VAT each.

All Guild Training International courses and training information are subject to strict copyright in the UK and internationally. This includes, but is not limited to, online training modules, course manuals, module details, course syllabuses, video clips, certificates, downloads obtained from the website, plus all Guild Training International and Guild of Professional Beauty Therapists Ltd logos and images. No information may be reproduced in any form or any means whether electronic, mechanical and/or optical without the express prior written permission.
Cancellations and Refunds
Guild Training International operates a clear and fair refund policy for students. A full refund will be offered less the cost of any supporting training materials that have already been despatched (books, DVDs, kits etc) on any training course order that is cancelled within 7 days providing the student has not stared the first theory module of the course. Students may cancel the course up to 28 days after ordering provided they have not completed the first theory training module of the course. The refund available in this case is 75% of the cost of the course less the cost of any supporting training material that has already been despatched (books, DVDs, Kits etc). After 28 days of the order, or once students have successfully completed the first theory training module and started the second theory training module, whichever is the soonest, no refund is available.
Students who do not attend the practical training session without cancelling within 14 days of the date of the training session will automatically be failed from the course, and will be required to contact Guild Training International to if they wish to complete the course. In most cases, an additional training fee will have to be paid before a further practical training session can be arranged and the course completed. The Training Centre may reserve the right to refuse to re-book practical training sessions for students who have previously failed to attend them. The final decision to allow students to continue their training is at the discretion of Guild Training International.
Students who enrol on Guild Training International courses can expect a world class standard of customer service. If a complaint arises, we operate a formal complaints procedure which is designed to settle any disputes as quickly and as fairly as possible. Students who enrol on GTi courses directly through Guild Training International or the beautyguildtraining.com website can register a formal complaint by contacting us at firstname.lastname@example.org. All complaints must be submitted in using the complaints form which is available from Guild Training International. Where disputes can not be settled amicably by both parties, the Directors decision is final. The complaints procedure does not affect your statutory rights.
A Guild Training International certificate is issued to all students who successfully complete a Guild Training International course. Certificates must be kept in a safe place. Lost certificates can be replaced by Guild Training International for an administration fee of £15 + VAT per certificate.
